HLFÅS, a graduate of the UBC BFA Acting Program, is a filmmaker, actor, fight director, writer and multi-disciplinary artist based in Vancouver who has worked for Bard on the Beach, Ballet BC, Cave Canem Productions, Carousel Theatre, Chemainus Theatre, Green Thumb Theatre, Rumble Theatre and Classic Chic Productions. Josh wrote and produced the 2 time Jessie Award nominated play From Parts Unknown…, co-produced and directed the critically acclaimed one-man show Borderlines, and has been nominated for 2 Jessie Richardson Theatre Awards and 1 Dora Theatre Award for performance and fight direction. In addition to his background in writing and producing live theatre, HLFÅS has also founded Heelfactory Film, a company dedicated to produce quality films with quality people, with an emphasis on stories that explore the duality of the world and grey matter in everyday life. HLFÅS wrote and Executive Produced Heelfactory Film’s first short film The Head of the Snake directed by Raugi Yu, which was completed in winter of 2019 and is currently in consideration for a number of film festivals. Driven by a desire to build a team of positive, process oriented people, HLFÅS can also be seen in the feature film “Volition” (produced by Smith Brothers Film Company and Paly Productions) directed by Tony Dean Smith, currently playing on VOD platforms after a successful run on the festival circuit.

Executive Producer: Colleen Wheeler

A veteran of British Columbia’s entertainment scene, Colleen is a graduate of the University of Alberta’s BFA Acting Program. In her 30 year career, Colleen has worked as an actor for Bard on the Beach, Arts Club Theatre Company, Citadel Theatre, Theatre Calgary, Firehall Arts Centre, Theatre Aquarius, Vancouver Playhouse, Belfry Theatre and has garnered 7 Jessie Richardson Awards stemming from 14 nominations. Colleen can also be seen and heard on screen in recent films as Tully, The Tall Man, The Willoughby’s and TV series such as The Twilight Zone, Altered Carbon, X-Men Evolution and Death Note. Colleen produced and starred in “The Head of the Snake” for Heelfactory Film and is a Company member and Artistic Associate for Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Festival.
